A Note From The Presenter:

As parents, or those entrusted with children in our lives, we want to help our children in every way we can, especially when they are experiencing painful events. The Helping Children With Loss program provides helpful information and proven tools to effectively help children work through the emotionally painful events that happen in life. Children can experience loss in a variety of forms: death, divorce, health events, accidents, pet loss, moving, and so much more. Here at the health department, we have seen firsthand how the pandemic has contributed to loss in our community. If you have a child in your life who is grieving and enduring loss of any kind, please come join us as we learn more how we can help them process these experiences.

We will meet on Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:00 right here at the Henry County Health Department, June 2 - June 22, 2023. Please plan to attend all 4 sessions.
All materials will be provided, with books provided by the Four County ADAMhs Board.
Please register in advance.

Working at a health department during the Covid pandemic put staff mental wellness under the microscope, and The Grief Recovery Method has been an extremely useful addition to our toolkit. So much so, that I became certified...
