About The Format

This program is taught in four 2.5 hour long sessions offered once a week. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. HCWL Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are structured and action oriented.

A Note From The Presenter:

Do you wonder if what you are doing and saying to help your child with grief and loss is helpful? In trying to “protect” children you may be passing on to them the same bits of misinformation on how to deal with grief that you learned as a child. Parents, teachers, school counselors and everyone else who has contact with children will learn skills of enormous value in this educational 4-week program. Learn immediately applicable tools and language to help children with the many losses in their life – loss of parent, grandparent, divorce, pet, moving and many other kinds of losses.

4-week program begins Thursday, June 2, 2022 (classes meet on June 2nd, 16th, 30th and July 14th)
Class meets 7:30pm to 9:30pm Eastern and 4:30pm – 6:30pm Pacific (every other week)
Classes will be held on ZOOM and cohosted by Michele Mariscal
“When Children Grieve” book provided with registration

Presented by:
Denise DeMarco

Uniquely prepared from her own lived-experience of personal, devastating loss and complicated grieving experience, Denise DeMarco has helped countless individuals on successful journeys in living beyond loss.

Spurred by the death of her infant daughter, Denise searched and attended multiple grief groups over the course of 17 years. These groups were unable to assist in finding true help to deal with her sorrow. After more than a decade, DeMarco continues her pursuit to help others find hope in the darkest of times.

By taking the actions of The Grief Recovery Method®, Denise learned how to complete relationships in her life that ended or changed. Through her own healing, she knows first-hand losses do not have to define who you are.
