The vast majority of parents find themselves at a loss when trying to help their children deal with any grieving experience that impacts them. This 4-week program is designed to teach parents, and others who work with children, the necessary tools to help children effectively deal with their broken hearts, no matter the loss they are facing.
About The Format
This program is taught in four 2.5 hour long sessions offered once a week. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. HCWL Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are structured and action oriented.
A Note From The Presenter:
MEETING POSTPONED due to public health concerns and will be rescheduled at a later date. This 4-week Helping Children with Loss outreach program is offered to the community free of charge by Billy’s Place and will be facilitated by Ricki Ray, Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. You will need to purchase a copy of the book, When Children Grieve by John James and Russell Friedman. You may purchase your own copy at a bookstore or online or obtain one at the meeting for $15. The group will meet each Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, March 31 through April 20, 2020 in the main lobby at Total Presence Management . Please register to attend.
