The vast majority of parents find themselves at a loss when trying to help their children deal with any grieving experience that impacts them. This 4-week program is designed to teach parents, and others who work with children, the necessary tools to help children effectively deal with their broken hearts, no matter the loss they are facing.

About The Format

This program is taught in four 2.5 hour long sessions offered once a week. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. HCWL Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are structured and action oriented.

Worldwide challenges like the current one have grief written all over them. Losses leave scars in all of us, young and old alike, if we do not pay close attention and make correct choices. Children are the most precious and vulnerable members of any society. As small children, we observe closely and imitate behavior of our immediate family and the surrounding society. My parents were no exception. “Be strong for others!”, “Bury your grief in work!” were strategies that helped my grandparents survive the worst of both WWI and WWII in war-battled Germany.
