The loss of a pet can be emotionally devastating. Sadly, the impact of the heartbreak of this type of loss is often downplayed or ignored by friends and family. This 6-meeting program is focused on offering pet owners an effective mechanism for taking action to move through and beyond their grief.
About The Format
This program is taught in 6 sessions, either once a week for 6 weeks or twice a week for 3 weeks. There are 2-3 days in between sessions if offered twice a week. Each session is approximately 2 hours long. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. GRM Support Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are confidential, structured and action oriented.
A Note From The Presenter:
This Pet Loss Support group provides a safe place for you to be heard amongst others who have lost their own pets. Not everyone understands the extent to which the loss of a pet can emotionally affect a grieving person. Sometimes you might not feel safe expressing how much the loss is affecting you to the people in your life whether they be family, friends or co-workers. In this 6 week course you will learn specific tools and an evidenced based method to help you process your grief. The hope is that you will find relief, freedom and completion by completing this program. Participation in this program requires a laptop or other device with a larger screen size and access to Zoom.
