I am a single mother to my non-verbal daughter with autism and other special needs.  Our journey has exposed so much conflicting emotions in me which led me to deal with it the way I was taught growing up - to not feel bad; to be strong and act like I got it all together.  I started a support group for moms of children with autism and realized how much we needed a safe place to let down our emotions and not feel like there is something wrong in us.  The Grief Recovery Method has helped me give a voice to the seemingly overwhelming painful emotions that are all living inside of me.  My pain needed to be heard and understood so I can experience healing.  I discovered many losses that most of us are not aware of: loss of identity, security, stability, safety, future, and hope among other intangible losses that are rarely talked about in our culture and society.  GRM has empowered me to provide a safe place for any griever to feel understood and that they are not alone.I provide group and online one-on-one GRM services in the cities of East Bay, California (San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Hayward, Fremont, Castro Valley, etc.).
