Hello, I am Crystal Mbanuzue. I was first introduced to the Grief Recovery Method by a dear friend after my 19 year old mentee was tragically killed by a car when crossing the street. This loss was the crowning feature on a mountain of other losses that had been hitting me differently since I had two miscarriages 3 years earlier. I knew I needed help dealing with grief since I had no examples to look to and was not trained in the practice myself. Once completing the program, I noticed things changed in how I interacted with people. Not only was I more prepared to attend funerals, teach my own children of loss, and help those hurting around me, but I also felt a freedom from things of my past. It took me two years to decide to become a Specialist and seeing the program work and unfold before my very eyes is my motivation to keep offering it. I currently offer the group and one-on-one in person Grief Recovery sessions in Little Rock, Arkansas as well as Helping Children with Loss and Pet Loss Support Group.
