"We cannot cure grief; but we can care for it". After many losses compounded together in one season, I felt suffocated by grief and unable to find a way to heal or feel anything other than pain. The grief recovery method was the first time I sat opposite someone and saw a way to feel what I needed to feel, without judgement, and find completion without the fear that healing could mean loving my person less. This program has profoundly changed and saved my life and it is a deep honour to be able to walk others through this process and find a new home for all that love.

Dani was the original reason I joined GRM. She had been a facilitator in another grief support group I took part in. Knowing she was leading a program as intense as GMR, I felt safe and cared for. And I was right, she made the program work for me. GMR opens your eyes into many losses and relationships one may have not addressed in the past. I was focused on the loss of my spouse from the get-go. I had concerns about “completing” my relationship with my spouse but Dani provided great information on what that actually meant, as did the reference book.
