Hello! I am so glad you stopped by. My journey to becoming a Grief Recovery Specialist is much like "I liked the product so much, I joined the company". Do you remember the hair commercial that said something like that? I participated in a group where I worked through the loss of my daughter; my first child. Through that I was able to take the skills I learned to address how other events had impacted my life. It was a year of discovery to be sure. A few years later I was encouraged to expand my Life Coaching Certification and take the Grief Recovery Method training in order to help people in my city. I am so glad I did! In the over 20 years of working with youth and families who have experienced severe trauma and loss, I have seen the lifelong impact of these events and the importance of emotional completion. Nothing changes around the event, but your ability to go forward in your life and pursue your goals is so much easier without the extra emotional baggage and triggers impeding you. Seeing the courage, determination and results my clients have accomplished has been fulfilling to say the least. I am proud of each and every one of them!
