About Latina
I am Latina Jolivett, I found the Grief Recovery Method (GRM) several years ago and realized there was undelivered communication to my sister Ingrid, who I loss in 2014. Although, I thought I was managing fine, hosting free grief support groups and sharing self-care through grief tips, it was not until I went through the steps of the Grief Recovery Method that I realized there were several things that was still unsettled for me. After completing GRM, I began purchasing books and sharing them and decided to be a GRM Specialist. I am located in the City of New Orleans and offer one-on-one and group sessions.
I am graduate of Southern University at New Orleans Millie M. Charles School of Social Work Masters Program, and currently a Licensed Master Social Worker who as complete the hours and preparing to take the exam for clinical licensure. I have worked specifically in forensic social work for 12 years, expressive art for over 10 years and has retired with more than 25 years, as I passionately served the City of New Orleans: New Orleans Police Department, as a police officer, police educator/instructor, police sergeant and social work supervisor. I revitalized the New Orleans Police Department’s Victim Witness Assistant Unit, after recognizing the need for social worker within the police department.
I have completed mission work in Port Au Prince, Haiti and Ghana West Africa.I am the CEO of Expressive Art Solutions wellness center, where “healing minds and hearts through art” has been the motto for 10 years. Latina loves inspiring and motivating others to reach their full potential, while educating the about the importance of self-care and healthy relationships. I enjoy sharing her gift of art, as I encourage others to embrace their creativity and imagination.
I am a mother, grandmother, pet parent and I look forward to connecting with you soon on your grief journey.
