Lesleigh was exactly who I needed to walk me through my grief recovery process. I was stuck and couldn’t make progress with my grief. I feel emotionally lighter and less stressed. I felt supported and nurtured throughout the process. I am forever grateful to my friend who recommended her.

I was deeply grieving my soulmate partner/hubby and after I hand wrote his goodbye letter of 12 pages, crying through it on would have been our 26th wedding anniversary, I felt more peaceful and ready to get on with my life. Since 12/27/22, the day of my goodbye letter, I have not had sobbing spells and have been talking to him and laughing more and still of course, missing him. He made a beautiful CD of songs, three of which he wrote and before the program I would cry when I listened to his beautiful voice. Now I listen to it peacefully and joyfully. That is recovery. I pray it lasts.

This program, guided by Lesleigh, has opened my eyes to a number of issues in my relationship with my daughter as well as others in my life. It's quite an interesting experience, sometimes quite uncomfortable revisiting unhappy times (I've been to therapy in the past), but necessary in light of the current circumstances. I am no longer filled with anger or sadness. I guess "acceptance" and the choice to move forward with my life is the benefit of this program. I choose not to dwell on the past, but fill my life with those things that bring me satisfaction and joy.

I have suffered from depression and substance abuse from 2016 to 2020. While numbing my emotional pain over my relationship with my daughter and divorce, I decided I had enough and gave Lesleigh a call. I went through the 7-week program and managed other griefs along the way. Lesleigh was patient with me and very empathetic in each session or called when I needed emotional support. Within a short time, you look at grief differently and how to process it. While I'm continuing therapy, I can better address racing thoughts and emotional triggers to make progress in rebuilding my life.

Lesleigh helped me find a calmness inside over things I could not control - that's a succinct way of saying I had been grieving for years over an issue with my husband that I could not accept - nor affect.

I was able to complete the grieving process on two family members. I had done a lot of healing work around these two family members but there was more that was needed. Although one family member had passed, the other one was due to a loss of relationship. Both had impact on me and going through this process allowed me to grieve, release, and heal. I'm so grateful for this!

This was exactly what I needed to break free from the norms of not dealing with death.

It has been very helpful to understand the magnitude and frequency of the griefs that I have experienced, and that such is not normal. As I read the grief recovery book, I found the strategies to be uniquely helpful, but also that other typically experienced grief with a large amount of time in between, whereas that has not been the case with me. Lesleigh was fantastic as walking through the impact of this, while also giving each of them the time they deserved. I mention comparative frequency of griefs because its important to understand for reference, and that it was causational in the way I started to feel/behave for quite sometime - self-perspective is key. While we did not have the time to walk through each of them, we had enough time to touch up on all of them and work through the more significant ones in detail. Also, certain of these griefs were quite severe, so it was very helpful to have a person who is trained to understand them, and can introduce strategies on how to move forward. Lesleigh has been a great coach on these issues, and is also someone I now consider a friend.

I had grief related to health and relationship losses. It helped me process difficult emotions that I did not know how to process and that were affecting my physical health--anger, sadness, resentments.

The Grief Recovery Method offered me a structured & proven path for healing. The concepts are sound & soul centered. The program honors the individual, and their unique personal processing journey to find more peace within a kind and loving framework. This offered me a way to participate actively in revealing a path to heal. My facilitator was extremely skilled and caring. She offered me a soft place to open up my feelings & to be vulnerable. What I found so valuable was that the program offers a path to true healing very efficiently. Additionally, I was given tools to continue to address any unspoken or future healing that may be needed to transform pain into joy.

I love the structure and science behind the program! That was a huge draw for me as a busy woman! And that it's only 7 weeks! Although I will probably continue with Lesleigh the rest of my life I am forever grateful for this program! I can now offer a program to my clients that are dealing with Grief and feel confident to share with them that it worked for me! I have a new realtionship with my mother and can now see her with a new "lens" and have compassion for her. My mom is 73 years young and thank god I took this course now so I can be fully present with her! I do believe that my instructor Lesleigh Tolin made ALL the difference! Not sure I would have opened up my heart the way that I did with someone else! I will keep these tools close to my heart and will be forever changed! Michelle

As human nature it would be very easy to procrastinate about doing the recovery work homework...the recovery method and facilitator is a very motivating when you start to see results.... grief recovery is an amazingly clear process to facilitate the difficult emotions associated with grief.

This was an 8-week, one-on-one weekly meeting through zoom with Lesleigh. We went through the book and I did all the exercises and then we discussed them in each session. I found the combination of written homework, reading, and one-on-one sessions to be very effective. My life is truly changed. I feel like a ton of bricks has been lifted from me psychologically. Lesleigh is an incredible teacher - she has all the skills an excellent facilitator needs - wisdom, intelligence, compassion, empathy, insight and also a great sense of humor. I recommend her very highly! Thank you so much for this amazing program - it has really helped me. :-) Marni

The program afforded me significant personal growth. I have already referred several people and will continue to do so. As in AA, getting "it" OUT there, both verbally and on paper assists with the healing process and it is amazing how society still is so uncomfortable with feelings. All I can do is continue to feel my feelings and encourage my children to do so to promote our healthy living.

It helped me come to terms with what loss I was going through in dealing with my husband’s dymentia and how to handle my emotional loss and move forward. I hadn’t realized before this program that loss can be occurring while your loved is still alive.

The program helped me and continues to help me work through a lot of challenges I have been dealing with regarding the loss of a very close friend who died, the failing health and impending death of my parents, and the loss of my partner as our marriage has run its course.
