Hello, my name is Madonna Marable. I reside in southwest Ohio; in a city I love called Dayton. I’m so glad you’re considering the Grief Recovery Method. Let me share a bit of my own journey with you. One of my earliest memories of loss was when my best friend and next-door neighbor moved away. I was six, she was five—and I remember feeling a deep sadness I couldn’t quite name. That same year, my oldest brother left for college. The following year, my other brother left too. I felt alone in a way that lingered. By the time I was twenty-five, both of my grandparents, the only two I'd ever known died. The experience of death became painfully real when my oldest brother died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack. I was twenty-six. He was thirty-seven. I couldn’t sleep for an entire week. I was devastated. Since then, I’ve experienced multiple losses: addiction, infant death, divorce, death of my parents—each one reshaping my understanding of grief. For years, I carried unresolved pain, unanswered questions, and emotional weight that no one seemed to talk about. Then I found the Grief Recovery Method. And I found hope. This method gave me tools—not just to cope, but to heal. It helped me complete the unfinished emotional business of grief and reclaim my energy, my clarity, and my sense of purpose.
