About Margie
Married female mother of two adult daughters. I am employed at one of OKC, OK local Hospices as the Bereavement Coordinator. I became aware of the Grief Recovery Method as part of my duties as a Bereavement Coordinator. I was very impressed with the program as while going through the training . I myself had experienced several losses as a child and an adult and did not realize that although it had been several years, I was still grieving and there was some closure that needed to be done. We at CR hospice provide Grief Recovery classes for our families and the community. I also assist those individuals that are dealing with "anticipatory Grief"; individuals who are caretakers to those love ones who have chronic illnesses, and one on one meetings for those individuals who are more private, or is not ready to share their pain with a room full of strangers. We meet here at our facility in the SE part of OKC, for the Grief Support Group and we provide a quiet room for a more private sector. Specified Information is provided for those interested in coming to these groups. We specify that everyone grief is different and make sure that your individual pain is recognized.
I have worked in different capacities of the health field for over thirty years, as well as volunteered for several care support groups. My education background is in Sociology, Community Health, and Gerontology. I am the health Coordinator at my church and have headed all organized health events for the community that our church has hosted. I have had the opportunity to be a youth leader and work with seniors as well. I am very passionate about treating people as you would like to be treated. My goal is to assist in making people day better; by being that assistance that you need for the particular time that you need it to be. If interested in any of these services I can be reached at [email protected]
