My facilitator, Miss Peggy Norton was amazing. She was able to make me feel comfortable to talk about my grief, but also create an environment of learning and understanding how I feel. I was able to connect with her even though our age range is very different and she was able to comfort me in my loss, but also teach me about grief and what I’m experiencing and what I’ve been through and also understand the feelings that I feel.

Peggy was absolutely amazing. Her ability to synthesize what you're saying into clear, coherent thoughts that help you process your grief is remarkable. She was truly a gift and the most incredible coach I’ve ever had. After attending therapy and support groups, I experienced the most post-traumatic growth through this program and with Peggy as my facilitator. She was always available during my moments of crisis and knew how to slow things down to ease my suffering. Calling Peggy a miracle worker is an understatement. I interviewed other wonderful grief coaches, but Peggy’s nurturing and comforting tone reassured me that starting the journey would be worth it. I was apprehensive and unsure about doing the work at first, but I’m so glad I did. If you're in pain and suffering, I highly recommend giving this program—and Peggy—a chance.

The homework assignments were very helpful to build up to the final session. I also appreciate the advice on wording and actions to promote recovery. I had not heard that information before this program. Thank you.

I have learned how to deal with grief differently. I feel like the weight I had had been lifted. Especially after doing my loss history I realized how much loss I have encountered since I was a child.

The program has helped me to analyze my feelings in a more positive way. Its also helped me to take my losses now and one by one begin the process to be able to move beyond them. Also, I immediately learned that there is nothing wrong with me and the everyone deals with grief differently and that is ok.

My facilitator for the program, Mrs. Peggy Norton was absolutely amazing. She made me feel seen and understood. I was able to understand and move through the program because I knew that my efforts were being supported. My facilitator provided me with clear instructions for the exercises and assignments as well.

I recommend this program to anyone who is experiencing grief. I'm now able to accept some responsibility for some of the grief I caused, and apologize for it. I was able to forgive and say goodbye to what caused the grief. I feel a big weight was lifted off of me.

I learned that a loss is not just associated with death. Loosing friendships is considered a loss.

Peggy Norton is AWESOME. She explained everything to me, took time to answer questions and helped me work through what I needed to. Though I am not done, she gave me the tools to start the process. The process made me look at things as far back as I have memory of. To see that some things that have been in my past that I thought were long forgotten really aren't and affect your every day life. It gives tools to help you release those weights and start with a fresh clear mind. Truly a great program. Many people do not understand that Grief is just not death. I didn't until I went to the program. Unfortunately it is a misconception that needs to be broken. As there are multiple stages and kinds of grief. I never say I am doing fine anymore... that is a cliché... I say I am doing OK...Working on it but I am ok and will be OK. I can't speak highly enough of Peggy and her caring, calming personality. She made me feel like she genuinely cared for me and my issues. That she was there for me and I was her only participant. She never pushed me to get into a group and understood my comfort level was one on one which I really appreciated. You have a real GEM representing your program.

This program is excellent. My facilitator Peggy Norton was a Godsend for me. I have been hoping to find the answers for why I have been stuck in my life. From the moment I met Peggy Norton I felt she was sent to me by God. She has helped me understand that the reason for my suffering. Peggy's expertise has help me realize that I have not put myself first. The grief recovery book and process of learning how to move through my different life experiences has made me feel like I am not a failure. I have now learned skills to help me to understand that my feelings are important. I can not begin to explain how working with Peggy and how she has changed my mindset about learning who I am and that I matter. This program can be difficult going through the process of learning about grief. I feel if more people struggling with grief. Once they took this program w Peggy's help. They would discover how special they are and would walk away with the tools necessary to help manage their thought process. We grievers need to understand that we were not taught the necessary skills of how to respond to painful losses. I would highly recommend this program to anyone that is struggling w grief or loss of any kind. I would also hope that they would find someone like Peggy Norton who is so compassionate, professional, knowledgeable and understanding. We need more people like Peggy Norton to help guide people in their Grief Recovery process. I am looking forward to my new life and discovering myself. Thank you Peggy for coming into my life at the time that you did. I greatly and humility appreciate the time and effort gracefully walking me through this process. You are truly amazing. I thank you with all my heart. Sincerely yours, Evelyn Cora Boston

This program taught me that grief isn’t just through death, which is what I originally thought. I have identified the many losses that I have experienced. Also, the program helped me to look at myself in the way that I have previously dealt with losses & stress. The program has taught me how to handle loss to completion and how to respond to current situations the could potentially cause stress. This program works!

I am great full that I can walk away from the program with tools to make me aware of things that can weigh on me and my marriage. Awareness and self reflection by walking through this process is truly eye opening.

I learned that I am a griever! One of the biggest things that helped me was learning that the majority of people DO NOT know how to treat someone who is grieving. I was so angry at everyone for how they were treating me that it made things worse and I was shutting down. This course helped me to forgive them and work towards forgiving myself. I have been giving myself permission to be human which was hard! Thank you for this program I think everyone should take this class so we can respect people’s emotions and feelings on a more sincere level!

First it made me realize that I was actually grieving. I allowed me to get somethings out that I didn't even realize I was holding on to. It aloud me to be honest with myself about certain things.

When I started attending, I thought this isn't for me. As the weeks went on I realized that I was grieving more than my mom death, I was grieving the girls father. He made my life a living hell, attending the classes helped me realized that I still had hatred towards him. Peggy helped my realized how deep I was holding on to anger towards the girls father. By the end of the class and writing the letter helped me so much, I look at life different now. I can move on with a relationship I have with someone and it couldn't of happened at a better time than now. I will truly send other candidate's to her!!

The program has helped me to see how grief has affected my life and others. I watch what I say to people who are dealing with grief. I also look at a person different now when they are anger or upset because they are dealing with grief themselves. I also look at the STERBS in my life that I use to deal with grief. I have been making sure that I don’t allow them to take over me. I plan on doing lost relationships graphs for more people in my life along with a letter.

Outstanding program. I walked away with so much knowledge especially not knowing that loss of a loved one is not the only reason one grieves.

Losing three sons to the criminal justice system with in months , relationship issues, alcohol and sleeping pills dependence, history of grief losing my mother etc and simple issues growing up trying to forget yet never realizing the impact on my behaviors during the years of becoming an adult. This was an experience that SAVED ME.... It has allowed me to take responsibility. Given me hope and strength to accept what I cannot change but allowing me to help[,what it is that I can. I was once afraid to seek counseling of any sort because I never thought that what I needed anyone would really understand. I didn't need someone that was not just a text book counselor I needed empathy and someone that can say that they may not know my struggle but have felt the pain. I needed a comfort zone that I felt safe to talk and share without judgement or disappointment. I thank God(smile) been hard expressing that statement but I know that I have been Blessed for the women that saved me and that was of Faith and the dedication the she has for the program and the lives that make the first step of acknowledgement that I was experiencing Grief.. Peggy Norton Thank You and my you continue to never change that love for helping people by having that listening ear, not minding a soul in need to talk an not shut down, to cry scream be angry, simple walk us through from where we at til we rise without judgement... Thank You again and we will meet again because I will forever have this testimony to share.

It is just the beginning of my healing process, but I believe the program revealed straightforward tools for embracing and releasing the deep emotions tied to loss. I look forward to a longer and steadier relief as I release each loss from my past. I caught a glimpse of what it might feel like and it is worth pursuing.
