After serving 22 years, 17 of which as Director of Victim Witness Advocacy, for the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, I discovered  a gap in services for crime victims who have suffered a loss, in the immediate aftermath of victimization. With retirement on the horizon, I wanted to continue my advocacy for crime victims, specifically those suffering from grief. After my completion of the Grief Recovery Method Specialist Training in 2018, I was able to collaborate with the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office to provide  grief recovery support groups.  As a co-facilitator, the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office offers an 8-week Grief Recovery Method Support Group for anyone who has suffered a loss due to crime that originated in Cumberland County.  This service is free.
