Sally Reynolds

Hello my name is Sally and I live in Winchester in the south of England. I have a background in Social Work and Counselling and my work included many years working in palliative and end of life care offering support for anticipatory grief and bereavement support; working with all aspects of loss, grief and change. My work included supporting patients, families and carers, and staff. I also worked with Cruse Bereavement Care for many years as a volunteer, supervisor and trainer. In my own life I have experienced a great deal of grief, loss and change. My family moved around a lot, resulting in many changes of home, school, employment, and sometimes countries. I have experienced the death of my parents and other relatives and friends – each death had its own unique grief, losses and challenges. In 2017 my husband died after a long progressive illness. During this we both experienced many different losses as his health deteriorated and together we grieved the changes that resulted. I trained with the Grief Recovery Method when I was looking for a different way to support people with their grief and losses. I discovered new methods of working that have helped me to process some of the losses and grief from my past.
