Sandy was very professional and well spoken. She was organized and none of our time was wasted. She attended to all of our questions and went beyond to ensure we received anything that we inquired about in addition.

Sandy was very welcoming and understanding of our various life situations. She dealt well with the variety of issues that our group was dealing with in regards to the children in our lives.

The program was very helpful in teaching how to better communicate with children dealing with loss. I found it helpful to know the myths of grief and how to make a list of emotional energy checklist to be aware of feelings my grandchildren may be having around loss

I felt I could share my grief with my facilitator and she was a very good listener.

The grief recovery program taught me a lot! My letters of completion really helped me process my grief and learning about the myths of grief helped as well. I highly recommend the program for those going through pain and loss of any kind. Thank you!

Such valuable information not only for helping the children in my life, but for me to personally understand grief better. Highly recommend the Helping Children With Loss to anyone who works with children or has kids in their life.

It has provided one framework and system for understanding and coping with grief. Very helpful to me currently and hopefully in the future for myself and children.

I found it very helpful to have the built in accountability to follow through on each week's homework. As the emotional content increased in the homework, it was very good to have a deadline to be working towards for completing homework exercises which were emotionally charged and difficult to process mentally. I also appreciated the non judgemental, listening only, nature of providing my completed homework to the counsellor. I tended to stray from the main focus at times and there was no judgement or time constraint on me when this happened. The step by step method was good, although, I misunderstood the intent of completing the week one homework before my first session so in essence I completed 2 sessions in one session because of this. I did not find this challenging as I had read ahead in the book anyway.

I highly recommend the Helping Children with Loss program through the Grief Recovery Institute. It offered practical tools that I began using right away and will continue to refer to in years to come.

Having a structure to work through things that have happened in my life was very helpful. Using tools and formula to move through my grief was helpful.

The program has given me tools and methods to examine and try to understand my reactions or non-reactions to grief and loss in my life. doing a relationship graph is very helpful in then continuing on to the letter, I found it clarified many things. The program has allowed me to look at all the losses and grief, and to complete and let go of the pain and bitterness I have been holding onto.

It helped me look deeper into reasons of how I am. Although I only went through sessions without any real training, the sessions assisted my wife and I to "Check - In" with each other and also at least lead friends/ family towards the need of grief counselling.
