it's early days, as I have only recently completed the program. So I anticipate much more closure/completion as I get farther away from the process, and as I work on other losses. I expect I will get more skilled at identifying and processing the completion of losses as I work through them. My experience was good; I just can't call it Excellent because of my own emotions.

A profound experience. The understanding and growth experienced during the 8 weeks was surprising (in a positive way). The changes in thinking and seeing things were subtle really, but also profound. It's interesting to me that the program was both subtle and profound, but the resonates inside of me. I'm very grateful for this program. The facilitators also made all the difference in the world. Their empathy, genuine concern, caring, insightfulness, understanding and knowledge. All very much appreciated.

My relationship with a difficult loved one has become much easier and I am able to be more objective about their opinions and attitudes towards myself. I no longer allow them to define me negatively as I used to before the Grief Recovery sessions.

Its important to have programs that can help us heal, grow and understand the importance of letting go to pain safely in order to be functionable on our daily life.

By working through old grief around my relationship with my mother, who is still alive, my current relationship with her has improved tremendously. I am very thankful for this program.

It helped me understand how to look at my past and resolve the pain. The reason I am giving only excellent and not outstanding is because I am a visual person and I need to read to truly understand the message (English is my second language). The book recommends not to read ahead and the online program has the first meeting in which the content of chapters 5 and 6 is actually discussed. I wish there was a way in which you could recommend for the "eager" people which chapters to read in advance of the meeting. I was afraid that writing and reading my letter in a different language than the one in which I live and think was not going to have the desired result, but it did, because the process of writing it was in both languages. I also wondered how by reading it aloud to someone else would help me resolve my grief. From my point of view it works because hearing myself, I hold myself accountable. Thank you!
