About Susan

My name is Susan M Frechette and I am a liscenced clinical social worker (LCSW) in private practice in Putnam CT.  I have worked in various capacities within human services for most of my working life.  Since getting my social work degrees (BSW and MSW) I have worked with families in the not-so-quiet, Quiet Corner of Connecticut.  I am certified in Advanced practice with Adolescents and Children, a post-masters program and love working with children and their families in my practice Quiet Corner Counseling Services LLC.  I have had a focus on grief and loss, partly as a result of losing someone very dear to me as a teenager and over the years have taken many courses related to bereavement. I discovered the Grief Recovery Method when looking for more tools for work with my clients.  The universe made it clear that this method was exactly what was needed.  The tenents within the program meshed with my own beliefs making it a "must have".  This is truely a part of me and in my heart.I have used it successfully with clients within my practice so that they can use their health insurance for payment. Personally I have also benefited from the program.   I just recently completed training to allow for Online One-to-One work and am going to focus the remaining years of my life work to this program. I am excited to speak with others about this wonderful program and will be honored to assist in any way.  I look foreward to speaking with anyone the universe sends my way.

My Experience

The grief recovery method is amazing. I came to the program shaken due to the death of my son two years prior. As I worked thru the program I came to realize it was not just the loss of my son that had sent me off balance. A year prior I had a cancer diagnosis, chemo and radiation and experienced complete disability. I never realized these were also important losses. The program helped me work thru and become complete. Forever changed, I now have the mindset to be sure all is "complete" Thank you to my facilitator Susan M. Frechette, LCSW of Putnam, Ct., she honors your program and is an incredible asset.
