Hello! I’m Susan Wahlers. My journey with grief began when my husband was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's at 55. Our lives were turned upside-down as we faced the relentless losses that came with his illness—losing not just my husband of many years, but also our financial stability, jobs, and much more. The weight of caregiving took a toll on me physically, mentally, and spiritually. I found healing through the Grief Recovery Method (GRM), which provided practical tools to process my grief. I also founded and serve as the Founder and Executive Director of Makers of Care, a Christ-Centered non-profit that focuses on respite and resilience for caregivers.
