My Story

Hello! My vision is to transform grief and loss into healing. I have discovered that underneath loss is fear. Can I survive without this person, job, home, relationship, etc.? Yes, you can; it is a process of rediscovering who you are and tapping into your internal resilience. My parents and brother died when I was in my mid-twenties. After each parent died, I returned to my routine life and work. I had the typical sadness, but I had no awareness nor understanding of the depths of grief. After my brother died, I couldn’t just be stoic and keep busy. Their deaths changed the trajectory of my life. I left my career and answered a higher call which turned out to be end-of-life care. During my transition, I discovered the Grief Recovery Method. This evidence-based method provided me the means to release all my ungrieved grief and to cherish my family members in an empowered manner. Since GRM was a significant part of my healing, I decided to become an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Holistic Health Education from John F. Kennedy University. As a lifelong seeker of knowledge, I received a second Master of Arts degree in Consciousness Studies from Holmes Institute. I have over 15 years of hospice experience and am a board-certified Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator. My vocation is to hold a safe and sacred space for you to identify and explore your feelings and emotions in a non-judgmental manner. The Grief Recovery Method allows one to have completion of the grief process and re-engagement in life.
