About Victoria

Hello, fellow grieving heart! I am a wife and mother of 3 living in rural ND. Grief recovery found me after 30+ years of attempting to move beyond my grief in other ways. My childhood experience with the loss of my father, and the subsequent losses (and traumatic experiences) that followed, left me in an unhealthy cyclical pattern for many years.  When I thought I was okay, I experienced another loss that opened up all of the wounds of my past. That loss ultimately led me to Grief Recovery, which has opened my heart to continued healing, opportunities, and has ultimately helped me reconnect to myself.  When I'm not helping others walk through their grief, I enjoy reading/writing, spending time with my family and dog outdoors, connecting with friends, podcasting, and also offering distant Reiki and Biofield Tuning. I am also a Certified YouMap® Coach, and, I am the only Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist® in the world that's also a certified YouMap ® Coach (and vice versa). What does that mean for you? It means that I can take your grief work even further, in nearly the same amount of time. You will learn your top strengths, values, preferred skills, and how you're wired. You will learn other root causes of your grief through this process, and you'll have even more knowledge, beyond Grief Recovery, that will serve you in your desired life's work/purpose/career. I feel this aspect of our lives is so important, I include it in the one-to-one grief recovery program.  Investing in your heart is never a mistake and if you're reading this, I encourage to reach out and contact me with any questions you may have. I have a special interest in the veteran community (as a veteran myself - OIFII combat medic), as well as helping children through loss (or traumatic experiences). That being said, with over 40+ losses one may experience, the grief recovery method offers support and guidance unlike anything else available - regardless of the loss.  Follow that nudge in your heart for healing. I am so glad I listened to and followed my heart; let me help you heal yours.I offer the following Online Programs:12-week 1 on 1 Grief Recovery program Online 9-week Grief Recovery Group Online4-Week Helping Children with Loss OnlineEnd-of-Life SupportTo learn more about working with me, I encourage you to set up a free consultation. My Experience

My facilitator was incredibly understanding, supportive, and flexible. About half way thru the program, things in my family just fell apart and I did not have the strength or motivation to work through the program. She helped me figure out a way to keep with it, but without any pressure. It took extra time, but I was able to finish.

My Experience

Victoria was an amazing facilitator. She encompassed empathy, honesty, and more. She also used the You Map which I highly recommend. I believe the You Map goes well with the Grief Recovery Method. She was a text and email away. She valued honesty and made me look at things even if they were hard. I felt safe with her.

My Experience

This program was truly life changing. I had been holding onto childhood wounds for decades which I did not recognize until working through The Grief Recovery Method®. I learned about so many myths surrounding grief like "time heals all wounds". These myths had kept me thinking my issues had nothing to do with the grief of growing up as a child of an alcoholic. I thought that simply moving forward in life with the determination to do better for my own family would be enough. Yet, decades later, I kept having this nagging feeling that something deep inside me needed to be expressed. I didn't realize how the grief work would bring out so many emotions that needed a voice. The Grief Recovery Method® helped me to see how patterns from my childhood had repeated themselves in different ways in my adult years. The end result of this work has left me feeling quite a bit lighter and brighter. The heaviness of emotions unspoken and unrealized have finally been able to flow through me. As a result, my current day relationships have shifted in profound and subtle ways.. all for the better! I also want to mention how I love the format of meeting once a week. It allowed me time to contemplate and consider each step in the process. Not rushing allowed for those little ah-ha's to make their appearances. It gave me time to consider so many aspects of the difficult relationships of my childhood from a different perspective. I highly recommend this program for anyone looking to do "the work" that everyone always talks about. You want to improve your life? You gotta do "the work".

My Experience

The most important learning for me was understanding that my grief was cumulative. At 56 years old, I had amazed a large number of experiences that created grief within me, from as early as my upbringing (parents), lost relationships, challenging family dynamics, several lost jobs, to the loss of my parents through sickness, and finally, my marriage falling apart. The grief I was holding onto was making it difficult for me to function. Fortunately, I heard of Victoria from a youtube podcast, where she truly spoke my language. Her understanding of grief resonated, and her statement of being a lifelong griever, made me realize that I too had been a lifelong griever. I was holding onto a lot. She worked with me in stages, within the scope of the program, and between sessions was available by email to guide and help me work through blocks and questions. The completion process was powerful, and I believe that Victoria has a knack and natural talent to help grievers.

It wasn’t easy work-but necessary-and I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I understand the method and its effectiveness and will use the information to address further issues with grief and loss.
