Hi, I am Jocelyn Shorter, and I am so proud to be a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist; it is truly an honor. The Grief Recovery Method was life changing after I experienced grief in my own, personal life. Just when I thought life was over, my Grief Recovery Specialist provided me with the proper tools that would allow me to journey through my pain and grief, the correct way. After realizing that there was Life after Death, my life was changed forever! I vowed to become selfless and show the world how my pain was turned into Purpose after seeing that there was light at the end of the tunnel. It became my dream and passion to now create the same safe place for others that was created for me. I am elated to provide GRM services in the south suburban area/Chicago, IL such as, Grief Support 1 on 1 and Grief Support Groups. I say, “Yes” to walking this journey called "Grief" with you! This program is for people who prefer to work one-on-one rather than in a group setting. The 7-session format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs and can be completed in-person with a Grief Recovery Method Specialist specifically trained to help people move through loss with dignity and respect.
