My Experience

This is the first program that has helped me actually open up and face my demons (so to speak). I went into this seeking a way to help alleviate my feelings on my infertility. I finished the program realizing that I first needed to complete the relationship with my living mother. Completing this relationship didn't mean that I would no longer interact with my mother, but it's helped me build a boundary so I can enjoy the time I spend with my mother. After completing this program, I know I have more relationships to complete, but I have the know-how and support to do so. I would highly recommend anyone to go through this program, it's not a typical therapy class of "How do you feel about that?" For me, this program was about both parties opening up to vulnerability by sharing personal information and trauma/grief. By having my teacher/coach/doctor open up about their past, it was easier for me to feel safe and seen. This was the first time I felt like my thoughts and feelings mattered. Being able to also go to Group Meetings has helped me continue my self-discovery journey.
