Hello, my name is  Ann Kimura. I have been a Grief Recovery Specialist for the last 20 years.  I became a specialist after taking the original 12 week course as a student. I then was trained and certified by GR program co-founder Russell Friedman soon afterwards. The Grief Recovery Method helped my heart and mind quickly shift in a positive way in regards to a very painful relationship with one of my closest relatives. The forgiveness and completeness I was able to achieve after completing the program was amazing and nothing I had ever experienced with professional counseling.  I knew I had to learn how to teach this process to others so that they too could experience the relief and freedom that I had experienced in such a short time. Previous to becoming a specialist, I received a Bachelor's in Child Development and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in the State of California and taught public school full-time for 15 years. I am currently a Certified Christian Life Coach and Children's Independent Bookshop owner.I look forward to bringing the Grief Recovery Method to individuals who have yet to find an effective method to deal with the pain they've experienced in relationships both with those living as well as with those who have died.  My hope is also to help many parents, grandparents and teachers learn the tools needed to help children find their own healing and freedom from grief. I offer online support as well as in person programs in the Greater Austin area of Texas.  Please reach out with any questions.
