My Experience

I am better equipped to deal with grief. I believe I have new skills to cope with the grief that I’ve endured and may incur in the future. Becoming more knowledgeable about what grief is has been the greatest discovery I’ve found in the last 8 weeks. We were all blessed to have such a wise and compassionate instructor. She was so patient with me that it made me feel more secure in being vulnerable. Truly glad that I was able to open up to Ms. Shorter because at first I had some reluctance about speaking in the group. She helped me by allowing me to share or not share when things got difficult for me. I wish I had something like this in my earlier years of life but I do now. Thank you , Ms. Shorter for reaching back with your light to pull others out of their darkness. God bless you.

I'm a better person, a better friend and a better mom. I've learned how to deal with things instead of pushing them aside. I've learned how to open up more and express myself. I've finally learned how to deal with my past and future losses.

I lost my mom and didn't know how to deal with it. Jocelyn it's a God sent. I realized that I have other loss that I need to deal with. Can't wait to take the class again
