About Marie

I would be honored to offer you the Grief Recovery Method® to help you heal your broken heart. Grief is no stranger, particularly as we continue to reestablish our lives after the turmoil of COVID-19. We've all felt the pain of loss in life, whether it came from a relationship ended, a dream deferred or denied, an unwelcome change in circumstance, or any one of more than 40 other kinds of losses. Grieving is a normal but often difficult part of life, and the tools of the GRM® will teach you how to feel better. I have long accompanied people through the pain of loss, particularly the losses that a terminal illness visits upon an individual and her or his family. Training as a GRM® Specialist has given me another way to help heal the human heart, which I consider to be a privilege. Using both the in-person Group and One-to-One formats, I teach the Grief Recovery Method® in Southern New Jersey, from the Philadelphia suburbs to the East and South. For those who prefer meeting online, I provide the program to individuals from anywhere in the world. Mindful that so many of us don't understand grief, nor how to support our loved ones who are experiencing it, I also offer parents and other adults the Helping Children with Loss program. I look forward to working with you!

My Experience

I had no idea I had forgotten so many wonderful things about the parent I did my graph on. I am very grateful to have had this opportunity for appreciation and closure.

My Experience

The program has provided me with the skillset to not only benefit with coping with the death of my mother, but also for coping with current relationships with people that are living. It has helped me to have closure on my grief with losing my mother. At first, during Class 1 and maybe even some of Class 2, I wasn't sure where this program was leading, as I was expecting more of a Support Group structure in working through the grief. I would have liked to have had a better understanding of the program up front, so I could have been better prepared as to what I would learn. But once I got passed the first week and into the 2nd class, I began to understand what the structure and purpose of the class was, and what it was supposed to lead to. As the facilitator helped me work through the Relationship Graph, I began to remember things I'd hadn't thought of in ages. And it helped bring the whole entire relationship with my mother into focus.

My Experience

Marie was very helpful in helping me to uncover and better understand my own feelings. She was sincere and gave me a feeling of honesty and compassion, while helping to steer me along through the program. She was very good at applying the concepts in the book to real life, and my life situation in particular. The skills she helped me learn are not only beneficial for coping better with the death of my mother, but will be very helpful in coping with some of my current relationships that are not so great.
