Back in 2017 my wife and I experienced the loss of my son at about thirty-eight weeks pregnant, we were thrown into a downward spiral of unprocessed emotion. Being religious we were constantly met with people saying things such as "He is in a better place," or "There is always a reason for something happening." The traumatic loss of our son carried pain throughout our marriage for many years, it was the main reason that pushed me into becoming a professional counselor. It wasn't until I discovered the grief recovery method that I realized that there was so much unprocessed emotion on the loss of my son, because I had always thought I had "dealt with it." Going through the program helped me realize that there was so much about my life that I never processed, especially around my son. I was able to recognize the many ways that I had believed falsely about grief and what I used to convince myself that I was "okay." The GRM opened my eyes to the tool that I was missing in helping myself, and now others, to help heal the unprocessed emotions of grief and help people move towards completion. I am located in Joplin, MO. I facilitate groups and one-on-one in person, with plans to offer telehealth soon. On top of being a GRM specialist, I am also a provisional licensed professional counselor who specializes in grief, trauma, and somatic work. I graduated in 2020 with my master's in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University and have been working as a therapist for two years, and five years total in the mental health field.
