I have been a certified Grief Recovery Specialist since 2003. Growing up in California, I lived in a household of alcoholism, drugs and a great deal of co-dependent behaviors. As a young woman I struggled terribly to find significance in myself and battled with my own demons of alcoholism and bulimia. In 1992, I began a journey of recovery which started with sobriety. Having sobriety as a foundation, I began to build a life.As an adult, the divorce of my parents and the break up of my family led me to the Grief Recovery Outreach Program. The freedom I experienced through Grief Recovery was so incredible I knew that I wanted to bring these tools to as many hurting, grieving people as I could.I have had the great privilege to have taken hundreds of people through the Grief Recovery Outreach Program. As a mentor and a life-coach, I specialize in helping people use the tools of Grief Recovery to break through the strongholds that hold them back from realizing their dreams and destinies. And it works!!It is my strong passion to see this generation grow up free from the bondage of unresolved grief that leads to addictions of all kinds and a life of wasted potential. In 2013, we moved to the beautiful city of Austin, Texas where I live with my daughter and husband. Together we founded Preparing Kids for Life.
