About Sonia
Hello,
My name is Sonia Crawley. I experienced debilitating grief and depression after losing my Mom (2016), along with having moved back to the US, after a decade of working overseas. These traumatic experiences led to the loss of deep relationships and community. My grief was compounded by the loss of ministerial relationships and identity. I was a mess, making me the perfect candidate for the The Grief Recovery Institute. The desire to heal my broken heart led me to become a Specialist. It is my joy to walk alongside others during their grief, loss, and recovery journey. I believe authentic relationships, community, and hospitality are essential for hope, healing and recovery. I would love to represent that for you.
I have extensive training in intercultural studies, and over 15 years of cross-cultural and humanitarian experience. In addition to GRMS, I hold Certifications in Trauma Healing and Spiritual Formation.
I am located in Stone Mountain, GA just outside of Atlanta. I lead a FaceBook group called "I Want My Momma" for "motherless" women who are discovering their new normal without their Mom. Within the group, I host virtual Kandid Konversations that focuses on grief, loss, and transition.
I provide in-person one-on-one and group sessions utilizing The Grief Recovery Method. I would love to lean in and listen to your story. I hope to hear from you soon.
