Hi, I'm Sonya. The loss that brought me here was the death of both of my parents, 9 months apart. However, after working through the Grief Recovery Method program, I realized that there were many other losses that I had not processed. From my grandmother dying in front of me, my grandfather's death, the loss of love, the longing to be a mother, and many other losses were just hanging around, incomplete. I had never connected the dots between the many losses of my life with the grief associated with my current loss. Through the Grief Recovery Method, I began to understand how grief is a compound emotion, and how the grief of my past shows up in my life today. Doing the work to heal ALL of my losses, helped me tremendously. I didn't realize how much unresolved grief I was carrying, until I began this program and was able to REALLY address the pain and heal the hurt. I am passionate about helping grievers move from grief to recovery, from sadness to sunshine, and from pain to purpose. Located in the Metro Atlanta area, I offer grief recovery in group, one-on-one, and virtual sessions. I also provide grief recovery for adults to help children with loss.
