Hello everyone, welcome back to the Feel Free Again podcast. I'm your host, Cole James, and I am very excited to speak with our guest today. Her name is Kira Pertui. I hope I pronounced that okay.

She is a certified grief recovery method specialist from Montana, so we are neighbors technically. And she has been doing this work since 2016, so quite a bit of time under her belt in terms of helping people with grief and loss and emotional pain from their past. So really excited to explore some really interesting and very helpful way she's using this method in Montana. We'll get to that here in a little bit.

But first off, Kira, thank you so much for your time and being on the podcast. Yes, I'm excited to be here. Thanks for having me. Absolutely.

I'm excited to have you. So I don't know if you've heard any of the other episodes, but usually where we start is just kind of what, how do you find your way to the grief recovery method? What made you want to help other people with their grief? Yeah, so that's a loaded question.

So my daughter passed away in 2003 and I did not have any grieving skills or coping skills whatsoever. Just kind of my background was, I mean, I'm Montana. So we just cowboy up and keep going. And I had tried some different modalities, you know, traditional talk therapy or, you know, different grief support groups.

And it wasn't a good fit for me. So I just really held on to just giving it time, you know, I, you hear that a lot. And as I did that, it was, it was 12 years later that I finally was like, what is up with this time thing? This is not serving me.
