Registration Closed
The loss of a pet can be emotionally devastating. Sadly, the impact of the heartbreak of this type of loss is often downplayed or ignored by friends and family. This 6-meeting program is focused on offering pet owners an effective mechanism for taking action to move through and beyond their grief.
About The Format
This program is taught in 6 sessions, either once a week for 6 weeks or twice a week for 3 weeks. There are 2-3 days in between sessions if offered twice a week. Each session is approximately 2 hours long. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. GRM Support Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are confidential, structured and action oriented.
A Note From The Presenter:
*** Tuition $245 with early bird discount of $75 if registered by October 1. The cost of $170 noted above reflects the early bird discount.***
Includes a copy of the book, "The Grief Recovery Handbook for Pet Loss" which we will use during the class.
Class size limited to 10 participants.
Grief is normal and natural but society has taught that it is not acceptable to feel sad after the loss of a pet. Most people consider a pet to be part of the family so losing a pet can be traumatic.
People say you have to let go and move on in your life, but they don’t tell you what you need to do to accomplish that. The Grief Recovery Method® for Pet Loss not only makes that possible, but provides partnerships and guidance to ensure that it happens.
In this class you will learn:
• Helpful definitions about grief
• Myths and misinformation about grief
• To identify and understand short-term energy relieving behaviors
And take action to:
• Have fond memories of your relationship with your pet not turn painful
• Be able to remember your pet the way you knew them in life, not only in death
• Have a life of meaning and value, even though your life will be different
Recovery and healing are possible. Join us.
