A Note From The Presenter:

The Grief Recovery Method® with Dahria Williams-Fernandes
Offered through PAUSE ~ A Movement for a Moment

Grief is not a problem to be fixed—it’s a natural response to loss that deserves space, compassion, and guidance. As a funeral director, grief educator, and founder of PAUSE, I’ve sat with families through some of life’s most sacred and sorrowful moments. Through the Grief Recovery Method, I offer you a proven, action-based approach to uncover and release the pain that often lingers long after a loss.

This program is for anyone grieving—whether the loss is recent or decades old, from death, divorce, change in health, career shifts, or fractured relationships. Together, in a safe and supportive space, we’ll journey through emotional honesty, guided reflection, and practical steps that allow the heart to heal. You will not be asked to "move on," but rather, to move forward with meaning, honoring both your story and your strength.

Each session weaves together the wisdom of the Grief Recovery Method with the holistic lens of PAUSE—acknowledging the full spectrum of your emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. You’ll be met without judgment, and with tools to help you integrate your grief, not avoid it. This is sacred work. It’s heart work. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Value of Program: $395 | Subsidized by PAUSE through Charitable Giving

Although the standard value of this Grief Recovery Method program is $395, PAUSE proudly subsidizes the full cost for participants through generous charitable gifts. Thanks to ongoing contributions—particularly from Floyd A. Williams Funeral Home, Inc. in Boston, MA, which donates this offering in honor of ancestors and communities, both nationally and internationally—over 100 grieving individuals can participate in this life-changing program each year at no cost.

We are also honored to provide this healing resource to all families served by the funeral home, extending care before, during, and long after the moment of loss.

This offering is a sacred part of our community legacy—a gift from the heart of those who came before, made accessible through the compassion of those who serve today.
