Grief is often directly connected to a major shift in life. This leaves us wondering how can I get through this; will I get through this? The hopelessness, fear, doubt, and unclarity can make looking ahead almost impossible. Losing someone dear to you, the distance created through a breakup or lost friendship, a loss of identity from a career, parental, or other life change. I found the Grief Recovery Method at a time in my life when I did not see or believe that there was a forward or future for me. A breakup that rocked me and brought a stop to the hopes and dreams I once had. The Grief Recovery Method (GRM) helped me work through the loss of that relationship as well as losing my dad at the age of six and the difficult relationship with my mother. Going through the GRM empowered me to want to aid in their life that can them back. Along with my Master’s degree in Counseling, I look to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals and groups to work through their grief.
