I was introduced to the GRM by a dear friend Sara Felushko who is an Advanced GRM Specialist. I experienced the death of my sister most recently and prior to that my parents and brother. I have also had lots of transitions in my life; divorce and career. I have learned new tools from the Grief Recovery Method that have helped me bring closure to several major life losses. I will provide GRM services in the Greater Vancouver area, British Columbia, Canada. My background includes practising as a Master's prepared registered nurse for many years and helping families manage after the death of loved ones. I also have family members who are 1st Responders and hope to offer services for police, fire-fighters, para-medics as well as health care providers and families. Career transitions can also be a time of loss and my years of corporate work will enable me to understand and offer grief recovery education to people in life transitions.
Its helpful step along grief journey. Grief needs to be integrated and managed even celebrated as part of life growth and maturing. This method is useful to surrender to the price and process of grief.Support Groups05/16/2021
It was very educational, first what grief is, how it can manifest itself, what is helpful, what is not! STERBS, timeline, thinking about and writing down losses. Knowing that we can have loved someone who also hurt us and it’s ok to acknowledge that. Enshrine and Bedevil are not healthy .Support Groups05/13/2021
I am different now. When I stepped into the program I had just hoped to heal from the loss of my company. To get back to some measure of normal. I did get there but was also catapulted to courage. The courage to engage with life and with others; knowing that I have the tools to keep healing.One-on-One Support04/28/2021
