Thank you for your interest in my background as a possible match for helping you with your grief journey or teaching you how to help children with loss.
I am in New Albany, Ohio which is an eastern suburb of Columbus.
I sought out GRM on line resources early in my bereavement after the death of my husband of forty years, which helped me begin to understand grief. I was inspired to start Grief Ministry initiatives for my church in response to the wonderful caring support I had experienced. However, it was not until I sought out and attended a Grief Recovery Method specialist training workshop to broadnen my skills and expand my grief support services that I actually felt I was moving forward. The evidence based GRM action steps helped me address my deep loss and the pain I was experiencing.
In addition to the death of my husband, my major personal losses include the tragic death of a parent when I was a small child, unexpected corporate job loss in the peak of my career and the need for some life accommodations due to some physical limitations as a result of a chronic autoimmune illness.
My life today is different than I had imagined it would be in this season of my life, but it is one that is filled with trememdous joy, laughter and purpose. I want to help you restore your joy and laughter so that you too can move forward in your life again.
I provide the following services in the New Albany community:
1. Helping Children with Loss - a four week meeting schedule (for adults)
2. Grief Support Groups - an eight week meeting schedule
3. Pet Loss Support Goups - a six week meeting schedule
4. Grief Support 1 on 1 - a seven week class schedule we set together
Went to the class to support my son who is an educator. I had recently had some losses and learned about helping children deal with loss and took away many ideas to help myself. I now feel that i have the tools to help a child dealing with loss.Helping Children With Loss06/17/2019
