Hi, My name is Nicole Steinberg. My favorite color is yellow and I like broccoli!
I was raised in the little town of Auburn, California, and currently reside in Tacoma, WA. Since my earliest memory, I have been fascinated with the beauty of death, yet at the same time fearful of it. Dark art, Halloween, and death rituals from around the world have intrigued me. As a child, this was a very taboo subject to talk about, but as life carried on I realized that it does not have to be this way. Upon moving to Washington I worked for a mortuary service where I met an amazing soul who saw something in me and recommended that I become a Death Doula. After taking courses and advanced learning I was drawn to the path of planning and grief recovery using the Grief Recovery Method. Through personal experience, I realize the importance of planning for your end early on and confronting your grief so you have the tools to move forward. I hope that one day everyone will be able to communicate openly with family and friends regarding end-of-life wishes, but until then I am here to walk with you through your journey in death and grief.
