I have been practicing and studying mindfulness and behavior change for over 25 years, and bring my experience to others through teaching and coaching. I launched my company, Greenhouse Wisdom, to lead others through change--efficiently and effectively. Just as a greenhouse offers a safe and protected environment in which plants grow and thrive, we all need to create the discipline and environment to make and maintain change. I strive to empower my clients to tailor their self-care program and create space in their lives so that they can come back to center—a place of balance, vital to growth and peace of mind.
As a Grief Recovery Method Specialist, I now support those who have experienced loss through this 8-week program. Grief is the result of unmet hopes, dreams and expectations as well as the loss of intangible concepts of safety, trust, security, respect, faith or hope. In 1996, when my Mother passed away, I suppressed my grief by raising my young daughters and caring for my Dad. Many months later, I felt as if I was moving through quicksand and did not have my footing. Little did I realize, this was grief–unsresolved grief displays in so many ways. The Grief Recovery Method brought me to ‘completion’ and now I treasure the memories without the physiological and psychological drain.
