I became certified to teach the Grief Recovery Method in 2010 and was recertified in January 2025. Like all of you, I know all too well the crippling affect grief causes, including leading to health, memory problems and the inability to cry. What brought me to Grief Recovery was the loss of my children through a divorce. My son, was kidnapped and taken out of the state at the tender age of 4. After much prayer I let my daughter go be with her brother, two years after he was taken, so they could have a childhood and memories together. I didn't know that they would be brainwashed against me. I was also exposed to the occult which created much grief very young because I always wanted to know why I was here, who I was created to be and what my purpose was in this "very dark world." I learned to carry the boulders in my backpack, be strong and grieve alone.
A passion of mine is helping grieving people to process their pain. Sorrow is normal, pain is not. I also love to take people through a discipleship program and see them grow in the Lord. I spent 10 years in Christian ministry, discipling others, working in prison's, with prostitutes that wanted off the streets and the homeless.
A few notes on the personal side: I began chalk painting in 2013 and my first project was rehabbing the interior of an RV. Then I began painting furniture for myself and others. My dear husband, George and I have lived in Clayton, NC since June 2024. Owned and founded “Extra You, LLC” and “White House Home Inventory” (prior to writing and publishing 2 books) for 13 years in Virginia, Maryland and D.C. Volunteered with Hospice for 10 years and love working with those who have Alzheimer’s and/or Dementia (and their families to teach them "how to" deal with these very sad diseases) as well as adults with Downs Syndrome. A few hobbies include Gardening, landscaping, drawing, cooking, watercolor, decorating, refinishing furniture and volunteering in my community.
