Our Facilitator was definitely outstanding with his skills and compassion for leading The Grief Recovery Method. He is a excellent listener and is able to reflect how I was feeling. He was never judgmental during any of our 8 sessions. I always felt safe and supported during each session. The experience has been helpful for me with recovering the grief of the passing of my daughter.

I have broader thoughts about the loss that I was experiencing. I have changed my manner of addressing others about their loss _grief. I am re focusing on my feelings, emotions and thoughts about death, the deceased, and my heart break.

The program worked very well, because I learned how to use the Relationship graph to list the positive and negative experiences in my relationship, the Loss History Graph helped me list in chronological manner, my experiences and finally writing my letter to my father, listing, which contained my forgiveness, acknowledgments and my significant emotional statements, made me very emotional, but good at the same time and my good bye. I feel now that I can apply what I learned to other losses and situations. The book is excellent.

This was a very thorough program that really helped me bring some feelings to the surface that I was burying. I didn’t realize how much keeping things inside was impacting my health. It was so helpful to be around others who were non-judgemental and deal with some hurtful emotions I was keeping bottled up inside.
