The program was really eye-opening. I feel as if I learned tips to help people of all ages and even help myself be able to deal more with loss, rather than pushing it away. I really enjoyed the Completion Letter concept, that is something a person can use with any person (alive or someone who has past), and also with negative and positive affects on you.

This program has given me several tools to use if I encounter a student who has experienced a loss or are grieving. It has helped me to think more about what the student may be going through, and to remember that not all people experience grief in the same way. It will also help me to give support to my own children if they go through a loss.

This program opened my eyes to situations in my own life that I didn’t even know had affected me. It made me realize why I behave and respond to different situations the way I do because of previous experiences. I feel further prepared to handle situations and comfort people who are dealing with loss because of this program. As a future educator, I felt the information presented during the program is essential for my future career. Truly I think everyone, no matter their career, should go through this program. I am very grateful for what I have learned, and know I will be a better at my job because of this program.

The program helped me understand that it was my heart that was broken and not my head and how to heal from the pain in a way I've never been taught. It was a turning point for me.

We just finished our course last night, but in going through hours/days of avoidance of writing my completion letter I reached out to Ginny for support and guidance. After that meeting I wrote my completion letter and ended it with a sentence that I had no idea was going to come out on paper. It was not a thought I had during the course and somehow it ended up there. I completely broke down after finishing my letter but the next morning actually told a co-worker about it and talked about my loss without the pain and tears I have been feeling for 7 years. I'm hopeful that I have healed some of the pain of losing my Dad and can truly experience the joy in my lost hopes, dreams and expectations that he is missing. Ginny had told me how powerful this course can be and I have to say I think I am now a believer. This is really hard work...but so is grieving! I would recommend this course to anyone that has experienced a significant loss!

I found the program to be outstanding. It helped me learn how to process grief and loss, and uncover and resolve buried hurts and feelings that had hampered my ability to reach out to others, even my closest family members.

I really enjoyed the program. Even though heavy topics are discussed I felt supported and heard the entire time. I was never pushed to share more than what I was comfortable with. I really enjoyed the small groups. Completing the group with employees was comfortable as well.
