A Note From The Presenter:

If you work with children—as a parent, guardian, teacher, or director of an after-school program—you know that grief and loss affect not just individuals but entire communities. Amid the challenges in our schools, neighborhoods, and families, it’s easy to overlook how deeply children feel these experiences. But they are never too young to learn coping strategies that help them process their emotions.
If you’ve ever wondered how to support the young people in your life, this four-week course is designed for you.

Whether you’re a caregiver or a professional, this practical course equips you with tools to help children navigate grief and loss. We will explore the emotional impact of loss, help participants grasp why young people struggle and how these challenges affect their socialization, academic performance, and behavior. Caregivers and professionals will learn how to support children, recognize unhelpful communication patterns, and foster a sense of belonging. Join us to build the skills needed to help young people navigate grief with resilience and support.

The course provided me a safe space to unleash the hopes, dreams and expectations that had not come to pass...
