Our support groups offer a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. These groups are led by Grief Recovery Method Specialists, trained and certified by the Grief Recovery Institute.

About The Format

This program can be taught once a week for 8 weeks or twice a week for 4 weeks. There are 2-3 days in between sessions if offered twice a week. Each session is approximately 2 hours long. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. New participants can join on sessions 1 or 2; after session 2 the group is closed. GRM Support Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are confidential, structured and action oriented.


A Note From The Presenter:

HR professionals often support others through some of the most difficult moments in the workplace. This roundtable will explore how experiences of grief and loss can quietly influence presenteeism, focus, and productivity. Together we will create a thoughtful space for HR leaders to share perspectives, reflect on the human side of performance, and gather insights that support both their organizations and their own wellbeing.

My journey with grief began early in childhood as the dependent child in a military family. I didn't know that this was grief but boy was it! Everytime I moved I left friends, schools, favorite teachers, home, belongings, church, and places I liked to play. The problem was that I was never given any tools to process all of this grief nor was it even thought of as loss in my family - it was just life. When my brother died in 1993 I was lost.
