Hi Everyone....
My name is Mike Strick and I am an Advanced GRM Specialist currently working one-on-one with my clients online. I am here to be your companion as you navigate your individual grief journey and the changes in your life by listening, mentoring, teaching, and encouraging you along the way.
I have witnessed exceptional results the last 17 years leading The Grief Recovery Method® in the Greater Cincinnati area, and I have guided well more than 600 people through this transformational action program. Recognizing early on that many folks who completed the GRM wanted to work through additional losses, I have led more than a hundred through the program multiple times to release pain associated with other losses. As they say, "The proof is in the pudding", and I have personally used Grief Recovery to work through multiple losses in my own life, and it has provided me with profound healing.
In my role as a Bereavement Coordinator at a hospice for 15 years, I educated and guided thousands of grievers from all walks of life along their grief journey. I have worked with many forms of grief related to death: Long and short-term illnesses, unexpected deaths, accidents, suicides, murders, drug overdoses, miscarriages, abortions, and others. Additional losses I have worked with include: Divorce, estrangement in relationships, Alzheimer’s/dementia, Covid, changes in health, financial hardships, unemployment, pet losses, and the list goes on.
I was trained as a mental health therapist and have a MA in Psychology – Mental Health Counseling. Before working in hospice, I worked as a counselor with adults with special needs, as a counselor in a college counseling office, and as a career and job loss counselor with adults. I also have a BS in Business and spent the first ten years of my career in various sales and human resource positions with Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized businesses and start-ups.
I have been featured on local television and radio stations and have given numerous talks on grief and loss at churches, community centers, senior centers, Stephen Ministry groups, substance abuse/addiction centers, cancer centers, healthcare groups, women’s groups, and chamber of commerce meetings to name a few.

The 7-session format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs and can be completed online with a Grief Recovery Method Specialist specifically trained to help people move through loss with dignity and respect.
