Greetings, my name is Pauletta Hatchett and I'd like to introduce myself as a person who is very acquainted with lived experiences of grief, pain, loss, death, and sorrow. My life's journey was filled with many grief experiences including death of parents and a sibling, changes from having excellent health to experiencing a stroke and later rebounding from that, going through a difficult divorce, and and walking through disillusionment and grief in the workplace, At times, grief seemed to overwhelm and overtake me and contributed to me getting "stuck" emotionally. If not for the grace of God, having people walking with me during tough times and making a decision to get help and support, I would not have been able to make it. By "doing the hard work of grief," and yielding my life to the process of lifestyle changes, I was able to find healing, peace, comfort, and have matters settled in my heart so that I could begin to move forward.
I am also a Board Certified Mental Health Coach, Licensed & Ordained Senior Chaplain, Director of a non-profit organization, Community Health Ambassador, and a Certified Emotional Healing Specialist. I have experience and particular empathy for:
- Adults who need to be healed from childhood trauma, violence, and ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences)
- People grieving from loss of relationships through death, divorce, health crises, or life season changes
- Death of parents, siblings, loved ones, friends, or a family pet; and helping people grieve through end-of-life
- Grief and mourning experienced by the incarcerated
- Equipping parents and teachers to help children grieve
Wherever life brings you to, I have found the Grief Recovery Method to be "a tool for reaching deeply under the surface of grief and pain by bringing those issues above the surface, so that emotional healing can occur and life can be lived in the present." As you walk through the process, know that help, comfort, healing, and restoration are available to you. My hope and prayer is that you will make it through to other side of the grief to a new day and hope of a bright future.
For your convenience, I can facilitate Grief Recovery in-person individually or in small groups, or one-on-one virtually on Zoom. Plus, I offer occasional free Open Seminars on grief topics that are good for general knowledge and particularly, for those working in "helping" professions.
