Hello, Welcome and thank you for viewing my profile.
I see healing as a sacred process, deserving honour and witness, and I see growth as partner of healing. I am passionate about helping people walk through the pain of what we might call the "dark night of the soul" into illumination for transformation.
I first heard of the Grief Recovery Method in my grief course in Graduate school, while sharing about the loss of my Brother-in-Love. The compounded losses over the years had taken a toll on my heart, and after this major loss, I felt I could use some additional tools to help ease my heart from the various burdens I had picked up along life's sojourn. I signed up for the Grief Recovery Method training only to get news on the second day of training, that my beloved dad would not make it through the night. I later entered the program again and found the Grief Recovery Method to be unique in the ways it gently leads us through processing our painful losses by providing both wisdom and small actionable steps. From my journey, I understand that it takes courage and consistent effort to open up and to move towards creating a desired life. It is an honour for me to walk alongside those who are seeking to explore concerns through their own journey of hope and healing in integrity, compassionate presence, in an atmosphere of shared knowledge and hope.
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist located in Central Alberta, Canada. I have offices in Drayton Valley, Spruce Grove and Edmonton. My specialized training includes: Grief Recovery Method Specialist, Trauma-Informed Care, EMDR Therapy, Trauma Regulation and Integration Process (TRIP), , Introductory Hakomi, and PET-C method for couples. On the lighter side, I love adventure, chocolate and coffee, horses, dogs, and of course people!
