I am a osteopath with over 30 years experience and a special interest in Chronic Pain I use a mind-body approach to help patients link their symptoms to buried emotions and unhelpful beliefs, showing them not only how pain patterns get established but also they how can be changed.
I've long observed how loss features in a patient’s pain story and how unresolved grief becomes a key roadblock on their path to recovery.
I stumbled on the Grief Recovery Method while looking for a way to help my patients, and trained as a Grief Recovery Specialist in 2017.
And surprise, surprise! I became my first client! I had unknowingly been carrying a heavy burden of accumulated grief for years, stretching back from my brother's tragic death, the loss of my soul sister, loss of home and professional status, relationship breakdown and many other buried losses. As a result I had suffered chronic hip pain, bouts of pneumonia, chronic anxiety and loss of self worth.
Working through the method I was able to make sense of my journey and experienced huge relief and lightness of spirit. I am now delighted to help patients through the same process to clear the way to their recovery and emotional freedom.
Please get in touch if you are looking for support. We can have an exploratory talk – no charge, no obligation - and see how I can help you. I’m here to listen.
I offer the Grief Recovery Method 1-1 and Helping Children with Loss programmes both in-person and online.
I am from England but now living in the wild and beautiful North West of Ireland.
