Testimonials For Support Groups
I found understanding my sterns put a whole new insight into my current behaviour. It was remarkably uplifting to be brutally honest, to take a indepth look nto my relationships, focusing on my feelings and particularly been able to forgive. I found forgiveness empowering as my choice and freeing.

Brought understanding and peace in a turbulent time. Allowed me to face into pain quickly and minimise the period or dark thoughts and protect my faith as well as allowed me to prevent avoidance (which I typically do)

It helped me by sharing, talking about the suicide and what potentially led up to it. Saying it outpouring was helpful.

I had not really thought there was any unfinished communication with my mum, but doing the grief recovery program allowed me to see there was. I switched to completion of that relationship instead of the one I had planned. Doing the relationship graph and writing the letter has helped me get out of my head into my emotions and complete the grief I had held on to and given me courage to complete other relationships

I just finished my first relationship. The training was excellent. However, I think the book needs to be rewritten and edited to omit some potential confusion and create a more precise, well-written explanation of what the student is being asked to do and write. As a professional writer and editor, I think the improvements to the book's writing would go a long way in helping a griever who needs easier-to-follow, more concise and consistent instructions.

I already had very good relations with my spouse and my parents - and had worked out any issues during their lives. So I felt like I was in pretty good shape as far as a lot of things we learned in the book. My biggest issue was dealing with all of the deaths - my spouse first and then my parents and then my dog. But the program did take me to a deeper level as I focused on my husband.

The program helped me with getting over the pain of the loss of a spouse and how to cope with my feelings.

It showed me how to look inside myself and unlock my feelings vice keeping them inside under the mask. I have seen lots of deaths during my military career, but my son/s death brought back many memories from some of the worst events I witness.

Going through The Grief Recovery Method with Robin as my therapist helped me put my relationship with my father at peace. It also helped me discover areas where I took ownership of my actions in order to avoid repeating “mistakes” and the very next day after finishing GRM I woke up feeling happy and grateful. Robin is knowledgeable, gentle, compassionate, and extremely easy to work with even though The Grief Recovery Method is intense. I am very thankful for having Robin as my therapist and I will definitely come back to work with her to heal relationships.

The program has been helpful in many ways. First to come to terms with the various losses a person can experience in his/her life. The cliches we get stuck in about those losses and especially the way we cope with them. Personally to discover and bring to light emotions and losses I havent shared before. The way the program was conducted - the setting , the participants it was very respectful, caring atmosphere conducive to share , open up relate to each others stories. Outstanding job by our coach - Tammy Fleming

In depth look at my emotions, review of all the negative events and positive highlights in the relationship was quite intense for me. During the 6th week I felt overwhelmed by emotions but the closing letter put everything into the peaceful end. I see a difference in my emotional makup with my adopted daughter - the relationship I worked on.

I realise now that grief recovery is a life skill, both in helping others and my own journey. Some grief is so deep it will always be hard, but much of the difficulty I have had with grief is simply that I did not know how to be around grieving people and how to process it within myself. I also did not realise how much grief had accumulated in me over the years and it was healing just to recognise this. It was helpful to not only complete a relationship in the course, but to learn the tools to complete other relationships as well as I am ready to do so.
