Our support groups offer a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. These groups are led by Grief Recovery Method Specialists, trained and certified by the Grief Recovery Institute.
About The Format
This program can be taught once a week for 8 weeks or twice a week for 4 weeks. There are 2-3 days in between sessions if offered twice a week. Each session is approximately 2 hours long. There is reading and assignments in between sessions. New participants can join on sessions 1 or 2; after session 2 the group is closed. GRM Support Groups are not drop in style groups. All GRM programs are confidential, structured and action oriented.
A Note From The Presenter:
Jon is also an ICF-aligned certified life coach.
Each participant will receive two separate, individual, 1-on-1, coaching sessions.
He has found that these coaching sessions are instrumental in building a deep connection and sense of trust in making this grief recovery experience truly transformational.
One gentleman I worked with has a terminal disease who was in a a very difficult space emotionally in realizing that the end of his life was turning out to be profoundly different from what he had expected. We began with two coaching sessions at which point it became clear that we wanted to work together.
At the conclusion of our work together, his outlook and approach to his life had completely transformed. He was then determined to live a life of dignity, with a clear focus on where to focus his time and energy for whatever time he has left in his life.
